DJ FOOD in Santiago (from New York)

I’m liking New York more and more each day. I changed my plans a bit, and I’m leaving to London on Wednesday (July 2nd), then coming back to New York around the 15th of August. So newyorkers will have to wait a bit to have me back.

For everyone who’s down in Chile, today is the DJ FOOD event. Starts at midnight, in Centro de Eventos Bellavista (Ex-OZ), the price is Ch$14,000. Don’t miss it.

Hadn’t been able to update this page in a while as I was travelling/preparing the trip.

I’ve been in New York for the past 4 days, the weather is kinda nice although it rains all-day, everyday. I already have my first work request. I’ll be here for another 2 to 3 weeks if you’re interested in soliciting my time for a project, write me a line. I’m still working for my clients back in Chile, and everything is working smoother than expected. I just might be travelling for a little longer than expected.

Back in Santiago

The days by the beach in Zapallar are over. I came back to Santiago to finish planning my trip: for the next 2 months I’ll be visiting New York, Montreal, and London. If all goes well I’ll also be going to Amsterdam, Barcelona and Madrid. If you’re interested in offering me some interesting freelance job to be done while I’m in your city, don’t be shy to contact me.

During the last 4 days, this website has had more visits from the Russian Federation than from Chile, weird. Maybe it’s because I was named “Designer of the Month” by Neopixel (heh, thanks Sergio!)

DJ FOOD and Status Report

Had lunch today by the beach (at “Cesar”), with my computer infront of me instead of real food (which was secondary at that point), the other food was creating the artwork to promote the DJ FOOD event in Santiago, Chile. DJ FOOD (Strickly Kev & PC, from Ninja Tune ) are coming to Chile on the 27th of June, and playing at the Centro de Eventos Bellavista. Check out the first of our series of e-flyers.

Working on TWIST Films, ELEMENTAL, BarCentral, DJ FOOD, Listen (an 8 hour project I did last Sunday for a couple of friends), CHC, and of course Being a Being.

CHC Video: "Inspiración"

Spent all day yesterday helping shoot the video for CHC ‘s first single “Inspiración”. It was a wonderful day in Zapallar and we shot them singing on the rocks, on the beach, in the sea, and generally just clowning around. We all shared credits as directors, producers, actors, cameramen, wardrobe and catering. I was the Visual Effects Supervisor as well. Be sure to come back in a month to check out the finished product.

Being a Being and CHC

We’ve been doing a project called Being a Being, with my good friend Sebastian Silva for almost a year now. Just finished polishing version 2.0 and filled it with new content, including a mini-site for CHC (his hippie hop group together with Pedro Subercaseaux and Gabriel Diaz), where you can download MP3s and lyrics to sing along.

Talking about CHC, the CDs are just out of the printers, I’ll upload some pictures as soon as I get my hands on one.

New SPOON.CL Coming Soon!

I’ve started planning a new version of SPOON.CL that should be online in the next few weeks. Come back soon to check out the update. It’ll be worthwhile, and I promise to include as much work as possible from 1995 to 1999. As some of you might know, I lost it all (PowerBook, cellphone, mini-disc, backups, etc.), back in December.

I’ve been comissioned by a team made up of architects from Harvard University (USA) and Universidad Catolica (Chile), to create the website of a social housing world contest, called ELEMENTAL, to be held in 2003.
