For this new version of leo.prie.to I decided to go analytics-free — and therefore, free of browser cookies.
If the goal of this website is to be my personal digital archive of things I want to keep for the future, I realized I didn't need to know* how many visits, likes or shares the posts on this website are getting.
The wonderful consequence of choosing to go analytics-free is that I don't need cookies for anything. That's why you didn't see a pop-up asking you to accept or reject this website's use of cookies on your web browser — because leo.prie.to is cookie-free.
Sometimes we don't need data to make decisions, this is one of those times.
*The mental-health benefit of not having to check yet another indicator which doesn't really mean anything, was probably the main motivator.
